Special Needs Adult Transportation

Help transport CPC adult members and attendees with special needs (who we refer to as Friends) between their homes and the North Indianapolis campus for Sunday morning worship! Sunday morning transportation requires three volunteers: one to drive CPC’s wheelchair-accessible bus, one to assist on the bus, and one to drive his/her own personal vehicle to transport 1-3 ambulatory Friends. Team members transport our Friends from and to their homes within ten miles of the church building and sit with our Friends during the second service to worship with them and assist them with bibles, communion, and any other needs that arise. Training provided.

Requirement: A loving servant’s heart, a desire to befriend and serve special needs adults who have physical disabilities, a positive attitude, faithful attendance, successful completion of training provided by CPC, and background check (including driving record report) provided through CPC at no cost to volunteers. Those who drive ambulatory Friends in their personal vehicles should have a four-door car that a Friend can enter without having to climb up into it (e.g., sedans but not trucks).

Time Commitment: Minimum of one Sunday each month, 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
